Terms of sale
These terms describe how EduShop works today. Where something is not yet built, they say so.
Who you are buying from
You are buying from EduShop. EduShop buys the goods from its suppliers and sells them to you in its own name, so your contract is with EduShop and not with the supplier who packed your parcel. If something is wrong with what you received, EduShop is answerable for it.
Every supplier is checked before their goods are listed. We confirm the legal identity of the business and that it holds a current tax clearance from ZIMRA. Goods from a supplier we have not approved are not visible on the site at all.
Prices
Prices are shown in the currency the supplier set, and the price you see when you place your order is the price you pay. If a price changes while something is in your cart, we tell you and ask you to look again before you check out — we never quietly charge the new price.
VAT is shown separately on every order. EduShop is not currently registered for VAT, so the VAT on your order is zero and shown as zero rather than hidden. If that changes, VAT will appear on your order at the rate in force.
Delivery
Delivery is arranged by the supplier, who sets the areas they will deliver to and what they charge. The charge is shown before you pay. If no supplier in your cart delivers to your address, we refuse the order rather than taking your money and working it out later.
We do not yet track parcels. There is no courier integration and no tracking number. Your order moves through “being prepared” and “on its way” as the supplier updates it, and EduShop records delivery when it is confirmed to us.
Soft-copy products are delivered by download. You can download them from your account once your payment has gone through.
Paying
We do not accept card or mobile money payments yet. You can pay cash on delivery, or by bank transfer where we have switched that on. There is also a test payment method used while the platform is in development; it is always labelled as a test and no money moves.
Cash on delivery confirms your order but does not pay for it. You pay the courier when your order arrives, and your order will say so until then.
Stock
Stock is held for you the moment you place your order, before you pay. That is why an item can disappear between your cart and your checkout: someone else reached it first. We tell you when that happens rather than silently removing it.
Accounts
Accounts are for adults. A parent or guardian buys on a pupil’s behalf. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
Changing these terms
EduShop is in development and these terms will change as the platform does. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.
