Cancellations and returns
Your seven days
You can cancel any order within seven days of placing it, without giving a reason. This is your right under section 53 of the Consumer Protection Act, and it is not something EduShop grants or can take away.
The button is on your order. If the seven days have passed, the page says so and tells you the date it closed rather than failing silently.
What happens when you cancel
- Before it is sent: the order ends, the stock goes back to the supplier, and anything you paid is owed back to you.
- After it has been delivered: the order is recorded as returned rather than cancelled — the goods went out and somebody received them, and saying otherwise would make our records untrue. You are still owed your money back.
Getting your money back
When a refund is owed, we record the obligation against your order immediately, so it exists as a debt rather than a note somebody might forget.
Refunds are arranged by hand. We have no card processor to reverse a payment through, so somebody at EduShop contacts you and arranges it. If you paid cash on delivery and the order never arrived, there is nothing to refund because nothing was collected — and your order will say exactly that.
Something wrong with what arrived
Raise a dispute against the order. EduShop is the seller, so it is our problem and not a matter for you to take up with the supplier.
Soft copies
Downloads stop working when an order is cancelled or returned. A file you downloaded before then is already on your device, and we ask you to delete it.
